Memphis, Tn - A former East Arkansas police officer indicted on drug-trafficking charges pleads guilty to an extortion charge.
In exchange for the plea, prosecutors agreed to drop several other charges against former Helena-West Helena police officer Robert Rogers.
He was one of five police officers arrested in a four-year investigation of corruption and drug trafficking in Eastern Arkansas.
A total of 70 people were busted in the sting called "Operation Delta Blues."
A sentencing date for Rogers has not been set, but prosecutors say they're recommended a 16-month sentence.
