Tailgating with Turkey Burger Sliders

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - It's football time across the Mid-South, and what better way to celebrate your favorite team than with a pre-game tailgate. Sam's Town's Executive Chef Jerrold Brooks shows how to make some turkey burger sliders.

Southwest Turkey Burger
2 pounds ground turkey
1 teaspoon chipotle spice
1 teaspoon Cajun spice
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon granulated garlic

Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl and mold into 2 oz. patties.

Vegetable Slaw
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 carrot
1 zucchini
1 yellow squash
1/4 bulb fennel
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Juice from 1 lemon
1 tbsp dry basil
1/2 tbsp dry thyme
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon granulated garlic

Julienne all vegetables and combine in a mixing bowl with the minced garlic. In a separate bowl, combine all the dressing ingredients except the olive oil. Drizzle in the oil while whisking the dressing until completely emulsified. Toss dressing with vegetables and let sit 30 minutes before serving.
