MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A lot of musicians talk about what is known as "that memphis sound" or in the case of Stax "that Stax sound.” That sound can be given credit in part to one man. He's considered a legend at Stax, but Larry Nix takes that lightly. Larry mastered and engineered records for the likes of soul legends Isaac Hayes, Rance Allen and Johnnie Taylor.
