MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis celebrated American Idol finalist Lil Rounds Monday. The Bluff City native was honored on Beale Street by several community groups.
Neither wild horses nor gloomy skies could keep the Mid-South away from a celebration for Lil. The rain came and left and returned but the fans held fast.
Lil's family was a part of the parade, the U.S. Navy brought out a group of performers also.
FOX13's Mearl Purvis hosted the family event.
Lil Rounds has been a star in the eyes of Mid-Southerners since her first attempt at becoming an American Idol.
FOX13 has followed her successes and her growth as a performer.
A parade proves that the cheering didn't end when her time on American Idol stopped.
