Tealy Devereaux

Reporter, FOX13 News

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Tealy Devereaux is an Emmy winning reporter who came to work for Fox 13 in September 2004. Since then stories have taken Tealy all over the Mid-South and down South.

Tealy was the only Memphis reporter to ride out Hurricane Rita in 2005, filing live reports from Southwest Louisiana. While Gustav sent Gulf Coast residents north in 2008, Tealy went south to ride out the hurricane's heavy winds and rains.

Recently Tealy spent weeks reporting on the historic May 2011 flood and it's aftermath along the Mississippi. She also covered the trial of a convicted bomber who's now serving a life sentence for almost killing the chairman of the Arkansas State Medical Board. Tealy also reported from start to finish on the notorius 'Tennessee Waltz' corruption sting. It lead to the convictions or guilty pleas of a dozen local and state politicians.

While investigating with FOX 13's I-Team, Tealy exposed a crooked CPR instructor and a cockfighting ring in North Mississippi.

Tealy comes to Memphis from WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi. There she anchored the weekend newscasts and reported weekdays. She first started at the station as the consumer reporter.

Before heading to the Magnolia state, Tealy spent two years reporting in the Lone Star state. She began her career at KBMT in Beaumont, Texas after graduating from Texas Christian University. Go Frogs!

Tealy is a New Orleans native who appreciates the soulful side of Memphis and the unique flavor of the city's restaurants.
