Mearl Purvis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Mearl Purvis is an award winning journalist who can be seen weeknights at 5 and 9 on FOX13 News.

Mearl has won seven Regional Emmy Awards, the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award, the equally prestigious George Foster Peabody Award and the J.C. Penny Missouri Award.

Before starting her impressive tenure here in Memphis, Mearl reported and anchored in Charlotte, NC; Hartford, CT; Nashville, TN; Jackson, MS and Memphis, TN.

Mearl enjoys music, art and interior design in her spare time. She also enjoys volunteering her time reading to school children.
