Marcus Hunter

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Marcus Hunter, Fox 13 Sports Reporter, while just a senior in high school started his career in broadcasting at the age of 17, landing a job at WCBI-TV in his hometown of Columbus, MS. Working his way through the ranks from production assistant to reporter, he eventually became the station's Weekend Sports Anchor before heading a few hours north to Memphis.

An AP award winning sports photojournalist, Marcus doesn¹t just talk sports he has lived it. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he played Football for the Bulldogs for three years. It is Marcus' experience playing sports at a high level that helps him connect with and understand the athletes he covers on a daily basis. Aside from playing in the SEC, Marcus has covered SEC and C-USA Sports for eight years and is excited about the opportunity to continue working with the schools he has grown to love.

While in Columbus, Marcus also worked as a Radio Personality and DJ for Mix 106, where he played an adult mix of R&B, a great opportunity for him since he loves the feel of old school soul.

Marcus is excited about being in Memphis and as a big basketball and baseball fan, is looking forward to covering the Grizzlies and Redbirds. He is also ready to meet new people and talk sports.
